Baba Yaga and Vasilisa the Brave

Artist's Statement
This quilt is based on a Russian folk tale. Vasilisa, shown here
on the front, is sent on a mission to Baba Yaga's house to fetch fire for her
nasty stepmother and two stepsisters.
The stepmother think that Vasilisa will never return, because Baba Yaga is an
evil witch who lives in a house deep in the forest (pictured on the back of
the quilt).
In the end, good prevails and Vasilisa lives happily ever after.
